This CD reached the number one position on the Top 30-list of the erstwhile SA Rock Digest and remained on the hit play list for 13 weeks. It was also nominated for four Geraas Music Awards (Album of the Year, Best Adult Contemporary Album, Best Cover Design and Best Production). It manages to win the award for Best Production.

The album is comprised of 11 compositions of Afrikaans poems such as Fees (N.P.van Wyk Louw), (windroos) (Breyten Breytenbach) and Nuwe Maan (Dai!kwan/Antjie Krog). Initially only a limited number of CD’s appeared in book format, just like the other Breyten Breytenbach-projects (Mondmusiek and Lady One) in which Human & Rousseau was involved. Drawings and paintings by Vernon Swart wonderfully compliment the full set of poems.

Just as with Perd oor die maan, Laurinda worked closely with Jürgen von Wechmar and Schalk Joubert who were responsible for the production. Joubert was also responsible for several arrangements. Other musicians that can be heard on the CD are Barry van Zyl (drums and percussion), Mike Rennie (violin), Nina Swart en Lize Beekman (backing vocals), Gert Vlok Nel (vocals on one track), Heather Burgess (saxophone) en Lee Thompson (trumpet).
