Laurinda Hofmeyr at the Atterbury Theatre June 5 @ 16:00 – 17:30 R160 – R180

Laurinda Hofmeyr, one of South Africa’s exceptional music talents, has recently released a new CD called “wat ek wou sê”, where poetry and music join together in a masterful way. Laurinda and her band – all well-known artists in their own right Schalk Joubert, Kevin Gibson & Mabet van Wyk – will give the works of Afrikaans poets (ranging from Leipoldt & Van Wyk Louw to Toast Coetzer & Ronelda Kamfer) musical wings.

Gerhard van Deventer, owner of Incanda Meubels, has been a fan of Laurinda’s unique style for years. For both of them it is about a lot more than just a product, it’s about the stories of our country and its people that should be told. Laurinda’s musical compositions of poems and Incanda’s South African inspired furniture are both projects dear to their creators’ hearts where the creation of quality is more important than going mainstream. Incanda therefore proudly brings Laurinda to the Atterbury Theatre, exhibiting their furniture in the foyer for you to enjoy.
